Nuggets with Dip

In the process of thinking a quick evening snack, I ended up cooking these Meat Nuggets with Green Chutney (sort of spicy Dip).

Well  I wanted to make meat balls but ended up with nuggets, I found making balls more time taking.

For the Nuggets I used:

  • 250gms minced meat (here i used minced mutton, you can also use chicken)
  • Crushed Black Pepper- 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2-3 tbsp
  • 1 egg
  • Salt to taste

Mix all these ingredients and store it in the freezer for some hours. The meat is well flavoured with all the ingredients by this time. Here I cooked it the next day.

Since the egg is mixed it is easy to make small patty with your hand. Before frying it (shallow fry) dip the meat in bread crumb bowl so it is well coated with the crumbs. These crumbs gives a crispy texture to the nuggets.

Cooking time 15-20 mins. I made around 20 small nuggets!

For the Green Chutney (Dip):

  • Coriander leaves
  • Mint Leaves (use equal amount of Coriander & mint leaves)
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 8-9 cloves of garlic
  • 4-5 Green chillies
  • Salt to taste

Grind all these ingredients in a mixer. Add a bit of water if you find the mixture too dry and thick.


To give this starter a spicy twist I made the Green Chutney.You can try a different dip too.
